Looking for Wedding Musician
Please don't flame me for posting here! I am not sure where else to look.
I am getting married in Canmore (Quarry Lake) on October 3, 2009 at 2:30. I would love to have some live music during my ceremony. I would love an acoustic guitarist, but I am open to other instruments.
Basically, I would need a musician for an hour (ceremony is 20 minutes, so 2-3 pm). It goes without saying that I need someone who is certain they'll be around in October. I would prefer someone who has experience playing at weddings, but this is not a firm prerequisite - as long as you can take cues and play well, I will be happy. I have some ideas of the music I would like, but I am open to suggestions. I promise I am not a bridezilla, but I am looking for someone who is reliable.

You need to call Andrew Ibanez 609-2862. He plays flamenco, spanish, classical, jazz etc and is excellent. The reason I know this is because I work with him often when I'm shooting weddings. Which brings me to the next thing which is that we own www.banffbride.com a on-line and real world wedding marketing group based in Banff and Canmore so as you can imagine my intrest when I saw that BanffBride was a new member of Banff Jam. This is a bit awkward but BanffBride is a registered trade name in Alberta and Canada and we have had to deal with other not so nice people who have tried in various ways to encroach on our titles so would you consider changing your Banff Jam moniker? Thank you very much. On another note, I see that you are getting married at Quarry lake which is awesome but just so you know CanmoreBride is registered too. I think this might sound like corporate B.S. and I apologise for that but I sure would appreciate your help it is very important to us. My band has played several weddings and private parties in the Bow Valley and coincidently were just jamming up at Quarry Lake on Sunday! The group consists of me (Laura- vocals), Evan (guitar) and Andre (drums). If you wish, you can search facebook for "Laura, Evan & Andre" to listen to our music and view our set list.
