TMU plays @ The Storm Cellar (Alpine Center) at The Banff Alpine Center (Hi Hostels)
October 10, 2009 at 9pm to October 11, 2009 at 2am
Too Much Unsaid comes from London Ontario, Canada with smashing sounds of folk-funk-blues-jazz. Each member of TMU brings a distinct background of metal to folk and understands the importance of sending a message—even while you dance. The sounds of…

Etiquette of Jamming

The Etiquette of JammingI've only just started reading this book but already I've learned a lot. Author Noel Robert Snow provides great tips for musicians looking to hit the jam scene. He reveals common signals used by musicians on-stage to tell each other what chords are coming (when it's far

Chris Cornell LIVE in Banff

When I heard that X92.9 FM - Calgary's New Rock Alternative radio station and Molson Rocks were giving away access to an exclusive weekend concert in Banff - I was intrigued. When I found out Chris Cornell would be playing in my hometown, at my 'home-bar' to only about 300 lucky people, I was determined to be there.

But after talking to everyone including the bar owners, I realized quickly that my chances were slim to none. I even offered… Continue

Halloween Banff 2008

Didn't have any big plans this Halloween but after a few cocktails, a few friends and I made our way to Wild Bill's Legendary Saloon to check out an act. McRorie the 'one-man show' was a huge hit and seemed the perfect show for Halloween. Looking like something out of Rocky Horror Picture Show, this guy entertained the crowd with hits from the 80's to familiar music from today. He was wired from head-to-toe and sported large battery packs on his back to power it all. He would tap his feet… Continue

Canmore Indie Music Festival 2008

This was my first time attending the Canmore Indie Music Festival and I can tell you for sure, this will continue to grow into one of the area's 'must-see' events. Local musicians from the area showcased their talent and it was far from disappointing. The crowd was made up of locals, friends, artists and families.

Solo guitarists like Jamie McLaughlin and Bruce warmed up the crowd on a cool but sunny afternoon. The talented trio Four O'Clock Shadow rocked several covers and origin… Continue

Cool, Its always nice to watch an open handed drummer. A non drummer probably wonders why it looks different but can't figure out why. Also I think Billy cobham can play anyway he wants at any given time! Quality drummer.

Hi Rob, Thanks for dropping us a line. Right hand open handed? Was that prompted by an influence i.e. Mike Bordin faith No More or was that the way you started? Hope your keeping busy.
