Hi, Thanks for dropping us a line. The venues I know of are Wild Bills & Rose & Crown in Banff. The Drake, Rose & Crown, The Canmore Hotel in Canmore. Wild Bills is the biggest venue. The Drake always has a good atmosphere.

Drop us your tour dates when you have them. It would be great to catch you live.

Best wishes

Karl

Tell us a little about yourself:
London based band Too Much Unsaid (TMU) has a very unique sound fusing together influences from many different genres such as folk, blues, jazz, and a touch of funk to create their own sound. Too Much Unsaid consists of Jessie Jones (vocals and guitar), Andy Chillman (vocals and guitar), Pete Henderson (bass guitar), Tommy Henderson (guitar and mandolin), and Adam Goodlet (percussion).

Too Much Unsaid originally started in 2004 with two members Jessie Jones and Andy Chillman. As well as being sweethearts the two channeled their musical energy together to create something new. Throughout the years there have been many additions and transformations to the band. A few years in, the first addition named Adam, made his way into TMU. Adam knew Jessie through his older sister, which just happened to be Jessie’s Best babe. Adam would run around banging on drums and teasing Jessie for years that one day he would play music with her, strange enough after laughing at him for many years, Jessie and Andy welcomed Adam to join. The next and final two additions to the band were Pete and Tommy, who are brothers and have been best friends to the bunch for years, so it seemed to fit perfectly. Although every member of Too Much Unsaid loves to make music, each has a day job to pay the bills. Jessie went to college for Culinary Arts but laughs because she say that “cooking is plan "b" and that I put music on the "back burner" for my cooking career, now it's the other way around. I don't want to do anything but play music.” Andy, Pete, and Tommy all hold day jobs as well from Weedman to irrigation. Adam, however, is known as the dirty hippie in the band. He did go to college for photography, however he is known as the smartest one because he doesn’t work, he just lives to play.

Too Much Unsaid just finished the recording and production of their first full-length album titled “Live in Japan,” due out in September 2009. This was the first album that the whole band worked together. The entire album was created in Jessie and Andy’s living room. The process of writing “Live In Japan,” would start with a line or riff from one person, and members would add their part and character to it. Each member agrees that this album had a lot of different influences brought to the table by each member, whether it was Leonard Cohen, Ani Difranco, Hatebreed, or Wilco. The band then brought in friend Pat Simms to record the material. Pat set up the band with all the right equipment in Jessie and Andy’s living room and captured the album there.

The band has often been asked how they acquired their sound and Jessie commented by saying “We play music from our hearts. Whatever comes out of our soul into our instrument, than that is our sound. I (Jessie) could be singing jazz one second and than skat and then sing Spanish the next, I am all over the map and so is the band. Andy plays leads from the pentatonic to the locrian mode. I really think it's the kind of mood we are in and what we have been inspired by that day. “ Too Much Unsaid is more than just a band, it’s an idea. The idea is to take you out of your shell and groove to a new revolution.
